MAN INTERVIEWED ABOUT ATV LEGISLATION DEAD FROM ATV ACCIDENT

(03/02/2007)
A man interviewed by WSAZ-TV last week about the ATV safety bill has died in an ATV accident, according to the victim's family.

Homer Williams talked to WSAZ reporter Bill Murray while driving his ATV down a paved road in Mingo County.

Yesterday morning, his family said they found him dead on the side of the road with his wrecked ATV nearby.

Williams told WSAZ if the bill would pass, he'd be out of options for transportation.

"I got to go on the roadways. It's the only way to go," Williams said. "I don't know what I'll do. I'm stuck."

There will be no new ATV legislation this year.
