GRANTSVILLE INCREASES PARKING VIOLATION FEES

New parking fines for the Town of Grantsville went into effect this week, according to Pat Starkey. Town council approved the changes recently, indicating the increase in fines are overdue, with expectations that the fines will better control parking in the town. Overtime parking $2 Overtime parking, second violation $5 Parking in handicapped zone $100 Blocking alley $5 Blocking driveway $5 Blocking fire hydrant $50 No parking zone $10 Parking against flow of traffic $10 Parking on sidewalk $10 Double parking $5 If the fine is paid after 48 hours, there is an additional $5 fee. Offenses can be taken to Municipal Court, which adds court costs.
