CHS MATMEN TAKE 2ND AT REGIONAL - Off To State Tourney

THE HERALD WILL HAVE UPDATES AND PHOTOS DIRECT FROM THE STATE TOURNAMENT The Calhoun County Red Devils competed in a regional wrestling tournament at Roane County High School on February 16 and 17. The regional tournament is a qualifier for the state wrestling tournament at Huntington this weekend, February 22-24. The Red Devils qualified 10 wrestlers to compete at the state level. Nick Stevens 2nd place at 103 Seth Jarvis 4th place at 112 Cody Clark 1st place at 119 Sean Gungle 2nd place at 125 Tyler Bain 2nd place at 130 Eddie Burrows 2nd place at 135 Derek Roberts 4th place at 140 Jeff Goodrich 4th place at 145 Aaron Yoak 4th place at 152 Caleb Hart 2nd place at 160 As a team, the Red Devils were regional runners-up. Calhoun wrestlers who also competed were Zac Yeager, 5th place at 215, Tim Sutro at 171, Steven Wagoner at 189, and Christian Cottrell at 285.
