EDUCATOR GREG CARTWRIGHT RETIRING FROM CALHOUN SCHOOLS

(02/20/2007)
Calhoun educator Greg Cartwright (L) is retiring as Director of Curriculum, effective June 30th.

Cartwright has submitted his retirement request after working in the local system for nine years, concluding 37 years in public education.

"It has been my distinct privilege working in Calhoun. They certainly have been among the best in my long career," he said.

Cartwright said he especially appreciated the opportunity afforded him to open "the beautiful new Calhoun County High School as the first principal."

"I know that the time has come for me to leave the formal ranks of public education, but I plan to remain involved in some capacity," he concluded.
