Bessie Shrader, 85, of Fourth Avenue, Parkersburg, died Aug. 23, 2001, at the
Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital of Parkersburg.
Mrs. Shrader was born May 10, 1916, in Creston, Wirt County, a daughter of
the late Robert and Sally Tanner. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Shrader and Orson Shrader both of Creston;
two daughters, Bonnie Lewis of Parkersburg, and Alberta Nichols of Aberdeen,
N.C.; six grandchildren, Tonya Dickel, Ricky Lewis, Melody Ferrell Sandy,
Jimmy Shrader Jr., Danny Shrader and Janimae Browning; and six
great-grandchildren, Mandy and Tyler Dickel, Sierra Browning, Ricky Lewis
Jr., Ashley Lewis and Cody Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hallie Shrader in 1963; one
daughter, Nancy Ferrell; one brother; and one sister.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Busch Funeral Home of Elizabeth,
with the Rev. Lewis Villers officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery
of Annamoriah. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.
