GOODSTOCK 2007 TO BE HELD AT SUMMERSVILLE

(02/26/2007)
Goodstock is planned for July 19-21 in Summersville, West Virginia, at the 1,000 acre Good Evening Ranch.

Promoters from Florida who many years ago attended Morgantown University, were in a band called Mind Garage in the 60's. They were some of the founders of what is now called "Christian Rock", and their claim to fame was playing "electric liturgies" in churches all around West Virginia.

They were invited to play at Woodstock, but declined, not realizing the big deal it would be.

The Goodstock concept came about as the idea for a reunion of 60's and 70's bands and musicians, and has grown tremendously with volunteers from all over the United States helping to put it together.

Over 35 bands from all over the US including local acts are already scheduled to play at the 3-day event.

Headliners include Jefferson Starship, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Iron Butterfly.

This will be one worth attending, say the promoters.

There will also be a huge light show and a "Peace village" is in the works to make it a particularly interesting 3 days.

Tickets are on sale at an "early bird" reduced rate. There are still vendor and volunteer positions available.
