JUDGE'S DAUGHTER CHOSEN WV FAIRS & FESTIVALS QUEEN

Talia Markham, 19, daughter of Circuit Judge Tom Evans and his wife Teresa of Ripley was chosen the WV Fairs & Festivals Queen last month at the Charleston Civic Center.

Talia was chosen out of 79 contestants state-wide. She is a senior at the University of Charleston majoring in public relations-communications and is also a legislative assistant to WV House of Delegates Representative Mitch Carmichael.

Talia will graduate with a four-year degree and a minor in leadership in 2.5 years. She was also chosen as Miss Congeniality by all the contestants in the pageant, who were judged in event promotion, street wear, evening gown and interview.

She will reign over the WV State Fair in Lewisburg in August, as well as travel the state speaking and providing entertainment.
