FOUR DEAD, FOUR CRITICAL AFTER WV PROPANE EXPLOSION

Five people injured in a propane explosion at a Raleigh County convenience are hospitalized, some of them in critical conditon.

Four people, including a fireman and a building inspector who had just arrived on the scene, died during the explosion near Flat Top yesterday.

Four of the injured are in Cabell-Huntington hospital, listed in critical condition.

A fifth person was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center.

State Fire Marshal Sterling Lewis says men were working on an outdoor propane tank and some of the gas may have accumulated inside the store and ignited.
