FREE INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE - Locations Announced For Calhoun & Roane Counties

Community Resources Inc. has announced the location and times for free income tax preparation in Calhoun County. The EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) is for working families with income less than $38,348. The EITC is a tax benefit specifically for people who work. Eligible families may receive money back from the IRS even if they don't owe taxes; but they must file a tax return. The IRS sponsors trained Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers in your community. VITA volunteers prepare basic income tax returns for individuals who have low to moderate incomes or disabilities. CALHOUN COUNTY - The hours of operation for free income tax preparation at Community Resources Inc. in Calhoun County is 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please call 354-9265 to make your appointment for free tax preparation, or stop at our local office located at the corner of Johnson St. and Pine Creek Road in Grantsville. ROANE COUNTY - The hours of operation for free income tax preparation at Community Resources, Inc. in Roane County is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call 927-4632 to make your appointment for free tax preparation.
