Stanley R. ''Stan'' Goodnight, 65 - Parkersburg

Stanley R. ''Stan'' Goodnight, 65, of Parkersburg died Jan. 18, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Harold E. ''Pete'' and Bernice Catherine Fox Goodnight. He retired from GE Plastics and was a United States Navy veteran. He enjoyed boating, football and NASCAR. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Little Goodnight; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Rodney Gibson of Washington, W.Va., and Stacie and Eddie Layton of Mineral Wells; two grandsons, Jacob and Casey Layton of Mineral Wells; a granddaughter, Makenna Gibson of Washington, W.Va.; two brothers, H. Keith Goodnight of Davisville, W.Va., and Greg Goodnight of Cairo, W.Va.; and a sister, Dora Jean Gumm of Mineral Wells. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Jim Mike Ward officiating. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.
