CMS WRESTLERS SEEDED AT WSAZ TOURNEY

Submitted by Jennifer Miller The Calhoun Middle School Wrestling Team competed on Saturday in the Spencer Invitational at Spencer. Earning 1st Place honors were Ben Laughlin (135#), and Dillon Mefford (128#). Second Place was Zach Hanshaw (110#), Third Place was Justin Yoak (90#), Aaron Dawson Jarvis (95#) and Caden Arnold (155#). Evan Mace also gave a great performance. Leading the Red Devils are #1 Seed Ben Laughlin, #3 Seed Caden Arnold, #4 Seed Dillon Mefford, #5 Seed Justin Yoak, #8 Seed Zach Hanshaw, and #13 Seed Aaron-Dawson Jarvis. Individual Season Records thus far are: J. Yoak - 30-6; A. Dawson-Jarvis - 21-15; E. Mace - 6-20 (Missed a tournament due to illness); Z. Hanshaw - 28-8; D. Mefford - 33-3; B. Laughlin - 27-0 (Missed a tournament due to illness); C. Arnold - 25-2 (Missed a tournament due to injury) Head Coach Elvin Hixon and Assistant Coach Rex Yoak invites Calhoun Wrestling Fans to Huntington this weekend to support this talented group of young athletes in their quest for the WSAZ State Championship.
