Vehicle crashes across McKee porch

Knocks hole in wall, enters bedroom

An out-of-control vehicle crashed into the residence of Rev. and Mrs. Glendon McKee at Mount Zion early Sunday morning. The driver of the truck, Dustin Lee Webb of Millstone, said his vehicle dropped onto the berm, losing control as he attempted to bring it back on the highway.

Webb's truck careened across the McKee yard about fifty feet, went through a porch and crashed into a bedroom, knocking furniture to the floor. Damage was considerable to the structure and the vehicle.

Glendon and Eupha McKee were aroused from their sleep by the crash. Calhoun EMS assessed the couple, both sleeping in another room. Rev. McKee, a well-known retired United Methodist Church pastor, has been suffering with health problems.

Dustin Lee Webb was uninjured in the crash.
