Lawson Junior Boatright, 61 - Spencer

Lawson Junior Boatright, 61, of Spencer, West Virginia died January 7, 2007 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after a short illness.

He was born December 9, 1945 in Barberton, Ohio a son of the late Lawson and Hazel Webb Boatright. He was a heavy equipment operator for 25 years and worked for Cioffy Construction Inc. for 23 years. He was a member of Ohio Engineers Local #18 in Akron and was a US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.

He is survived by his wife, Yolette Vasquez Boatright; one daughter and son-in-law, Yevette and Bob Conrad of Canal Fulton, Ohio; one son, Michael Boatright of Akron; three grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Virginia Vasquez of Spencer; one sister, Virginia Miller of North Carolina; and two brothers, Charlie Boatright of Wadsworth, Ohio, and Daniel Boatright of Norton, Ohio.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Lorren Price officiating.

Visiting hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lakewood Cemetery in Akron.
