Smoking dyer is removed to back yard (L) fire caused
by overheating, from a nylon placed over exhaust (R)

A dryer fire filled a house full of smoke yesterday at the corner of Wigner and High Street in Grantsville.

The fire could have been the cause of a serious fire if the residents of the dwelling had not been at home.

The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call at 1:50 p.m., sending two trucks.

The dryer was removed to the back yard and an exhaust fan was used to remove smoke from the dwelling.
