GRAND JURY ISSUES SEVEN INDICTMENTS

(01/03/2007)
Special prosecutor Jerry Hough received two indictments before a Calhoun Grand Jury yesterday. (See "Former Calhoun Deputy Bandy Indicted For Larceny")

Prosecuting attorney Matt Minney presented cases to the Grand Jury, with five individuals being indicted.

Circuit Judge Thomas Evans III was presiding over the Grand Jury, which concluded in the late afternoon.

- Sara Beecher of Grantsville, two felony counts, related to the delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to delivery a controlled substance.

- George Parsons of Grantsville, two felony counts, one count of 1st degree sexual abuse and one count of burglary.

- Steve Buvoltz of Arnoldsburg, one count of manufacturing a controlled substance and two counts of wanton endangerment.

- Cristina Vandal, one count of grand larceny and one count of conspiracy to commit larceny, related to a stolen 4-wheeler.

- James Keener of Orma, two counts of sexual assault in 2nd degree and two counts of sexual abuse by parent/guardian/custodian.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but rather means that a grand jury found sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
