CALHOUN MIDDLE SCORES IN CLASH OF CHAMPIONS

Submitted by Melissa Hixon The CMS Wrestling Team traveled to Blennerhasset Junior High for the Clash of the Champions on Dec. 29 and 30. Due to injury and illness, Calhoun competed with only five wrestlers. Receiving tournament championship honors were Justin Yoak 90# and Dillon Mefford 128#, each at 9-0. Zach Hanshaw 110# was 8-1. Seth Wease 102# had a 7-2 record. Aaron Dawson-Jarvis was at 6-3. With lack of filled weight classes, Calhoun held their own in individual scoring, however fell to 15th place in team scoring. Individual record totals are: Jean Blair 4-5 (84#), Justin Yoak 23-3 (90#), Aaron Dawson-Jarvis 15-11 (95#), Seth Wease 14-12 (102#), Zach Hanshaw 20-6 (110#), Evan Mace 4-13 (116#), Dillon Mefford 24-2 (128#), Ben Laughlin 17-0 (135#), and Caden Arnold 17-0 (155#). CMS wrestlers battle at Braxton Middle on Jan. 6 for the Braxton Invitational.
