Clyde E. Smith, 68, of Creston, West Virginia passed away December 24, 2006 at the Willows of Parkersburg.

Born in Calhoun County, November 29, 1938, he was a son of the late Conda and Goldia Husk Smith. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Billie Jo Smith.

He was a US Army veteran having served in Korea. He owned and operated the Parkersburg Truck Repair Service for many years. He was retired from Calhoun County Schools as a bus driver with 20 years service.

Surviving are a son Rick and his wife Virginia of Grantsville, WV, grandson Phillip, granddaughter Courtney, great grandson, Wyatt; daughter Michelle and her husband Doug Gribben, granddaughter Harley of Elyria, OH; daughter Bobbie Jo and her husband Ryan Rolston and grandsons Wyatt and Nathen of Elizabeth, WV; brothers, Robert of Creston, Floyd and his wife Gloria of Elyria, and Jerry and his wife Linda of Mineral Wells, WV; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 28 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Delmas Stutler will officiate. Interment will be in the Hur Cemetery near Mt. Zion.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
