DRUNK DRIVER CAUSES I-79 FATALITIES

(12/19/2006)
A drunk driver driving one mile the wrong-way from the I-79 Servia exit caused the death of four other people, besides his own Friday.

State Police said the blood alcohol of Paul George, 51, of Charleston, was "well above the legal limit."

George's passenger, who has yet to be identified, was also intoxicated, according to police.

George's vehicle slammed into 32-year old Jeremy Shamblin of Elkview. Shamblin was killed along with his seven year old twins.

The vehicles then burst into flames, closing part of I-79.
