(08/15/2001)
911 Director Barry Pitts reports all 911 trunk lines and non-emergency phones at Calhoun Control are back in service. 911 service has been impaired since last Friday night when lighting struck the 911 tower at Mt. Zion.

About of a dozen pieces of equipment went down after the strike. Pitts has estimated the damage to be about $15,000.

Work is continuing on radio and other 911 equipment, he said.
