Vonnie Mae Potter, 69 - Spencer

Vonnie Mae Potter, 69, of Spencer, died Sunday, December 17, 2006, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.

She was a daughter of the late Perry Greathouse and the late Evelyn Waggoner Greathouse Wilson. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her step father, Verman Wilson; husband, Robert Sherman Potter; son, Bobby Lee Potter; sisters, Barbara McCallister, Patricia Greathouse and Martha Jane Wilson; brothers, Charles and Franklin Wilson.

Vonnie was retired from Quality Upholstery and Potter's Personal Care Home, where she provided care and love to many local residents for 37 years.

Survivors include sons, Peter Allen Potter of Spencer and Timothy Floyd Potter of Sissonville; daughters, Donna Anderson of Lake Washington, Mary Davis of Clover and Rebecca Hildreth of Spencer; sister, Marjory Tanner of Ravenswood; brothers, Verman Ray Wilson of Charleston, Richard Wilson of Looneyville and Stephen Wilson of Little Pigeon; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, December 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
