The City of Spencer presented Billy Frisk a certificate of appreciation for saving his little sister who fell into Spring Creek when she was on a walking bridge on the 119 by-pass.

His sister is three-year-old Jalynn Townsend.

Local donations are being used to buy Billy a new bicycle, among other items, according to Mayor Terry Williams.

Billy is in the 8th grade at Spencer Middle School.
