ALLEN N. WILSON - Grantsville

Allen N. Wilson, 74 of Grantsville, died Monday, August 13 at his home following an extended illness.

Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Edgar N. and Maud Mills Wilson. He operated a demolition firm in Baltimore, Maryland for many years, was a former timberman, farmer and heavy equipment operator. He was the former owner of Grantsville Cab Company and was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo Wilson and six sons, Michael A. Wilson and Donald R. Wilson both of Mt. Zion, WV, John L. Wilson of Pittsburgh, PA, Kenneth L. Wilson of Baltimore, MD, Richard D. Wilson Of Parkersburg, WV, Joseph W. Wilson of Severn, MD; three daughters, Charlotte S. Doelle of Millersville, MD, Greta J. Butler of Perry Hall, MD and Donna D. Yoak of Grantsville, WV; 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Stanley N. Wilson; two sisters, Irene Stallman and Alene Sidwell and two brothers, David and Verlin Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Reverend Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in the Ward-Wilson Cemetery, Grantsville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
