DISH CUSTOMERS WILL LOSE NETWORK PROGRAMMING

(11/29/2006)
About 34,000 rural West Virginians could be without network television coverage by this weekend.

A federal judge in Florida has ruled that DISH Network must stop giving satellite TV customers in remote areas access to network broadcasts by Friday.

A court found that the company violated federal law by taking network signals from distant markets and providing them to customers.

The customers affected are in the remote or mountainous regions around Beckley, Bluefield, Parkersburg and Wheeling.
