Violet J. Rader, 65 - Elizabeth

Violet Jane "Midge" Cobb Rader, 65, of Elizabeth, West Virginia died at home after a long illness.

She was born at Clendenin, the daughter of the late John Jackson and Gertrude Florence Deel Cobb. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Warren Cobb.

She was retired from General Electric, Parkersburg.

She is survived by her sons and their wives, Clay and Kimberly Rader and Scott and Violet Rader, all of Annamoriah; sisters, Maye and her husband, Wayne Lipscomb, of Pinch, Faye Jarrett of Clendenin, Dolly and her husband, Wayne Graley, of Alum Creek and Joyce and her husband, Rodney Patton, of Clendenin; brothers, Paul, Johnny and his wife Cindy, and Melton and his wife, Melonie Cobb, all of Clendenin; special friend, Herb Stevens of Clendenin; and grandchildren, Sierra, Erica, Roman and Seth.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor William M. Cottrell officiating. Burial will be at the Cobb Cemetery, Clendenin.
