PARKERSBURG MAN SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES - Wreck On Munday Road Claims Life

Curtis L. Carroll 44 of Parkersburg, died as a result of injuries suffered in a single vehicle accident on Munday Road shortly after 10:30 p.m., Wednesday. It was reported that Mr. Carroll swerved to avoid hitting a deer, lost control of the vehicle and went over a hill on Munday Road.

Curtis L. Carroll, 44, of Parkersburg, died Aug. 8, 2001, at Charleston Area Medical Center, due to injuries received in an auto accident.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Curtis enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of a local CB club.

He is survived by four children, Tammy of Warren, Ohio, Crystal Nichols, Patricia and Kevin Carroll all of Parkersburg; father, Harry Anderson; stepfather, Junior Lockhart; five brothers, Philip Carroll of Parkersburg, Bob Lockhart, Steve Lockhart, Carl Lockhart and Joe Lockhart; two sisters, Sandy Francis and Linda Snyder; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita V. Carroll-Lockhart formerly of Parkersburg; and on infant son, 'C.J.'.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg.
