PLEASANT HILL SCHOOL SENDS GIFTS AROUND THE WORLD

(11/16/2006)

This year the staff and students of Pleasant Hill Elementary participated in Operation Christmas Child.

This is an international relief project dedicated to giving children in other countries a small gift during the holiday season.

Each class "adopted" a boy and a girl. Students brought in items to fill two shoe boxes. They also brought in donations to cover the shipping and handling of the shoe boxes.

We would like to thank everyone for giving so generously and donating the time to wrap the gifts for such a very important and worthwhile cause.

We appreciate all of your continued help in trying to teach our students the importance of giving to others.

We hoped to gather enough items for 26 boxes and we exceeded that goal by collecting 41 boxes to send to children around the world.

Thanks again for such a great effort!
