Calhoun EMS prepares to transport physician

A local primary care physician at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center was injured Friday morning in a single vehicle on Hog Knob Hill near the mouth of Bull River. Dr. Anitha Rajasekharaiah was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care by Calhoun EMS with what appeared to be minor injuries.

The auto apparently spun out of control on rain-slick Route 5, landing in a ditch. The Grantsville VFD and Calhoun EMS responded at 9 a.m. Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee is investigating.
