JUDGE EVANS HEARS PLEAS

Judge Thomas Evans III had a short docket yesterday for Calhoun Circuit Court. Jennifer Jones pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance. What appeared to be a plea agreement between the state and Danny Minigh related to a meth charge, Minigh decided against the agreement and his case will be returned to the regular docket. Two cases, one regarding sentencing for Steven Beecher and another regarding pre-trial motions by Ernest Hall, were postponed because of the illness of the attorney. The court heard several juvenile cases.
