WIRT MAN CRITICALLY INJURED IN CONSTRUCTION FALL

A Wirt County man identified as Joel Robinson was critically injured this morning when he fell about 70 feet on a Corridor D/US 50 bridge construction site between WV and Ohio near Little Hocking, Ohio.

A five man crew was working on the Ohio side of the project when Robinson fell from the structure about 9 a.m. His crew was laying panels.

The Little Hocking VFD was a first responder, Robinson was transported to Camden Clark Hospital.

He was transfered to Charleston, where Charleston General reports he is in critical condition in ICU at 3:30 p.m. today.

Robinson is a 2002 graduate of Wirt County High, his mother works for the local school system.
