Vola M. Groggs, 90 - Buckhannon, formerly of Chloe

Vola M. Groggs, age 90, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 28, 2006. She was a former resident of Walker Road at Chloe, but had lived in Buckhannon WV for several years.

She was born November 16, 1915 in Upshur Co., WV, a daughter of the late Roy and Lourie Ward. On September 14, 1956 she married Ora Groggs who preceded her in death December 15, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her step-daughter Sue Mullins, two step-sons, Bob Groggs and Paul Groggs, and one brother Paul Ward.

She is survived by two sons, Bill Groggs and Mike Groggs, both of Buckhannon; four step-daughters, Jean Siers of Chloe, Norma Nicholas of Spencer, Loretta Gray of Elyria OH and Lotti Clouser of Akron OH; three step-sons, Frank Groggs of St. Albans WV, Gary Grogg of Chippewa Lake OH, and Ted Groggs of Stow OH; two granddaughters, 35 step grandchildren, 72 step-great grandchildren, and 38 step-great-great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church, a member of the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, and a member of the Fishing Camp CEO's.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Novemeber 1, 2006 at the Poling St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon with the Rev. Mona Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com
