ARNOLDSBURG STUDENTS GET SAFETY LESSONS

(11/01/2006)
The Arnoldsburg Elementary staff and students learned about fire prevention and Halloween safety last week.

Members of the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department presented the students with information on what to do if their house caught on fire.  They displayed various devices they use when fighting fires such as the hoses and breathing tanks.

Firemen turned out the lights and showed the students conditions that exist in a fire.

Deputy Sheriff Justin Metheney spoke to the students on Halloween safety.

He stressed to the students the importance of trick-or-treating with a grown-up and always letting parents check the candy before eating it and never eating candy that is unwrapped.
