CALHOUN FOURTH IN REGION IV CLASS AA-A CROSS COUNTRY

The curtain closed on the 2006 Calhoun cross country season Thursday afternoon at Camp Virgil Tate in the Region IV Class AA-A meet. The Red Devils finished fourth.

Sophomore Anna Sampson, who finished in 17th place, led Calhoun. Senior Grace Kaefabber, sophomore Carrie Graffius and Maria Kisner and freshman Emily Brady also represented the Red Devils.

Overall Calhoun had a team score of 111.

Charleston Catholic won with a team score of 31. Winfield was next with a score of 34 and Scott was third at 63. Other teams participating included Gilmer, Herbert Hoover, Sherman, Ravenswood, Wayne and Logan.

Sampson had a time of 24:34. She was followed by Kaefabber at 31:44, Kisner at 33:30, Brady at 33:33 and Graffius at 34:00.

On the boys side Josh Parsons led Calhoun with a time of 22:34 for 37th place. Senior David Lee was next for the Red Devils with a time of 23:11 for 41st and Zack Stump in 54th.
