Submitted by Angie Hersman Calhoun visited Braxton County on Tuesday, October 10. JV Won in a three set game to improve their record to 5-1 - 23-25, 25-21, 25-20. Calhoun JV Scorers were Hannah Wilson-11, Shauna Church-12, Kayla Roberts-16, Sarah Postalwait-9, Arla Lane-7, Kelsey Collins-7, Larissa Clegg-8, Amy Ashley-3. Varsity lost a heart breaker in a 5 game set, their record is now 10-8 - 16-25, 28-26, 27-25, 15-25, 12-15. Calhoun Scorers were Dani Church 22 (3 aces, 1 kill, 1 block, 132 sets) Courtney McKown 14 (2 aces, 12 kills, 1 block), Kayla Hixon 11 (3 aces, 3 kills, 1 block), Tessa Batten 19 (4 aces, 6 kills, 2 blocks), Caytee Prusack 15 (9 kills, 1 ace), Melissa Jarvis 13 ( 2 aces), Jocelyn Cunningham 4. Calhoun Varsity will play Thursday October 19 away (To Be Announced) in the LKC tournament. Other Games - October 23 - Home against St.Marys, October 24 at Gilmer, October 25 at Home against Parkersburg Catholic.
