Early results from thousands of blood tests on Ohioans and West Virginians who live near the DuPont chemical plant at Washington WV show high levels of a chemical used to make Teflon. The average level of the chemical C-8 in resident's blood is about 25 times higher than normal. The tests were part of a lawsuit settlement against DuPont filed by residents who claimed C-8 from the company's plant near Parkersburg contaminated their water supplies.
