POLICE CONFISCATE 91 POT PLANTS ON JESSE'S RUN

(10/03/2006)
State Police raided a Jesse's Run farm Sunday evening confiscating 91 marijuana plants.

The Grantsville detachment obtained a search warrant after two juveniles reportedly told Roane County Trooper I. B. Jackson they made a purchase linked to the property.

Jackson obtained information during a traffic stop.

Police told WVRC Radio in Spencer that the illegal plants were being grown indoors inside an outbuilding.

Police said they believe the plants have a street value of $227,500.

Charges have yet to be brought.

Conducting the raid were Sgt. C. J. Ellyson, Cpl. Doug Starcher, Trooper I. B. Jackson, and Calhoun sheriff's deputies Justin Metheney and Craig Gherke.
