Arizona Reed, 86 - Spencer

Arizona Reed, 86, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Thursday, September 28, 2006, in the Miletree Center, Spencer, after an extended illness. She was born December 6, 1919, in Hazard, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Molly Collins Amburgey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Chester Fugate, Ezra Jarvis and Hays Reed; nine brothers and five sisters. Arizona was a retired waitress and a member of the Apostolic Church. Survivors include one son, Bobby Hall of Hinton, VA; niece and caregiver, Dianne Murdock of Spencer; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Harold Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
