A Road to Recovery training was held at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center on September 19, 2006. Eight volunteers completed the training.

The Road to Recovery program is an American Cancer Society service program that strives to improve the quality of life for patients undergoing cancer care by providing transportation for cancer patients to their treatments and medical appointments and home again.

Transportation is provided according to the needs and available resources in the community.

If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cancer and needs transportation to treatment or doctor's visits, please contact Barb McKown at 354-9244.

For questions or to learn of other services offered by the American Cancer Society, please call 1-800-ACS-2345 or contact Sally Davis at 422-1472.
