THIEVES STRIKING CRESTON REGION - Boggs Arrested For Petit Larceny

A few arrests have been made or are pending in a rash of burglaries and breaking and entering in the greater Creston area in Wirt, Roane and Calhoun counties.

Thieves have been stealing everything from loose items in parked cars to entering dwellings.

Christopher S. Boggs, 35, of Creston has been arrested by State Police in Wirt County and charged with petit larceny.

He is accused of breaking and entering the home and garage of Denver McFarland on Tom's Run near the Roane County line.

Roane County sheriff Todd Cole has charged Boggs with petit larceny, after recovering a .22 magnum rifle stolen on September 5 from a vehicle owned by Jeff Marple on Triplett Road.
