CMS VOLLEYBALL TEAM WIN AT SPENCER

Submitted by Kelley Houchin Calhoun Middle School's Volleyball "A" Team played at Walton Tuesday evening and won the match in two games 25-15 and 25-2 raising their record to 2-0 on the season. Rochelle Gerwig lead Calhoun with 19 points, 4 aces. Ashley Houchin added 6 points, 4 aces; and Savannah Church added 6 points with 3 aces. Amber Wilford tallied 5 points, and Michelle Hall had 1 point, 1 ace. Calhoun Setting: Amber Wilford was 7/7, Savannah Church was 6/6, Ashley Houchin was 2/2 and Samantha Fulks was 1/1. From the attack line: Jordan Mace was 4/4 with 1 kill; Michelle Hall 3/4, 2 kills; Karissa Reip 3/3, Ashley Houchin 2/3, Savannah Church 2/2. Walton does not have a "B" team. Both Calhoun teams will be in action Thursday, Sept. 14 when they host Braxton in their first home match of the season. "B" game starts at 6 p.m.
