FIRE STRIKES GREEN ACRES HOUSE

Fire struck a house on Vista Lane in the Green Acres subdivision of Spencer at 12:30 today. Several units of the Spencer-Roane VFD responded to the blaze, reportedly with the basement of the dwelling fully involved. At least one other county fire department was summoned to the scene. Green Acres is Spencer's largest sub-division located between Rt. 14 and US 33.
