Fire struck a house described as a hunting cabin on Beech Road yesterday evening, totally destroying it, according to Arnoldsburg Fire Chief Bill Jones.

Firemen said the house was fully involved when they arrived shortly after 6 p.m. The Arnoldsburg and Upper West Fork VFDs responded to the scene, about one mile off US 33-119 from Liberty Hill.

Neighbors at the scene said they believed the structure was owned by residents of Boone County.

Firemen remained on the scene for nearly two hours. There were no injuries.
