COURTHOUSE FIGHT ENDS WITH ARREST

While circuit court was in session Monday in Grantsville, there was a disturbance outside the courtroom that ended in a Grantsville man being charged with domestic battery and assault. Sheriff's deputy Justin Metheney charged Adam Bernard Vandal, 30, of Pine Creek Road, with battery against Patricia Ball. The criminal complaint says Vandal "intentionally made physical contact on the left side" of Ball's face. The report also indicates that Vandal committed domestic assault against his brother-in-law Norman Frederick, described as Ball's boyfriend. Grantsville police chief J. D. Nicholson also responded to the disturbance. Vandal was taken before magistrate Teresa Robinson and charged.
