Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center is partnering with the American Cancer Society to offer Road to Recovery Training.

Road to Recovery is an American Cancer Society program that provides transportation for cancer patients to their treatments and home again.

Transportation is provided according to the needs and available resources in the community. Currently, any person needing cancer treatments must travel out of county and generally requires 2-3 trips a week. Volunteer drivers are a vital asset to making the cancer journey less stressful.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver, a Road to Recovery Training will be held at MHHCC on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 1-3 p.m.

The training will be held in the Education Room and will be conducted by Sally Davis of the American Cancer Society. For questions or to register for the training, please contact Barb McKown at 354-9244 extension 235.
