The following items have been placed on the agenda for Thursday, August 2 at 5 p.m. for the monthly meeting of the Calhoun Commission:

Issues regarding possible problems related to taxation of deep well drilling in Calhoun County.

Issues regarding economic development, grant money for possible barrel manufacturing company.

Letter to Minnora Community Center board for Commission to possibly assist in settling conflict.

Plans for possibly building E-911 center.

Process resignations: Tom Degan from Calhoun Solid Waste Authority; Charles McCroskey from the Deputy Sheriff's Civil Service Board; Danny Law from the Little Kanawha Area Development Corporation; Elizabeth Ferrell from the Calhoun County Park Board.

Discuss applying for Governor's Grant for regional jail invoice.

Annual State Auditor's notice for county audit.

Review Summer Youth Program.

Process new Calhoun County Courthouse security grant, approve $12,100.

Implement governmental accounting statements "Board" statement #34.

Approve minutes, review Budget Control Report, erroneous tax assessments, budget revisions, bills, bonds, wills, settlements, orders and set meeting date for September.
