ROANE MAN CHARGED WITH BATTERY NEAR RUSSETT

State Police arrested a man on Rush Run near Russett Friday night, charging him with two counts of battery. Kent Allen Ray, 25, of Harmony, Roane County, allegedly engaged in a fight with two residents of a home. Trooper 1st Class Jeff Hunt and Sheriff's Deputy Justin Metheney responded to a 911 call regarding the disturbance. Ray was taken to Central Regional Jail at Flatwoods.
