Hal F. Dixon Jr., 73 - Spencer

Hal F. Dixon Jr., 73, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away August 24, 2006 at his home. He was born May 4, 1933 in Spencer, a son of the late Hal F. Dixon Sr. and Pearl Argabrite Dixon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two infant brothers.

Hal was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church, and Moriah Lodge #38 A.F & A.M.. He was a former employee of G.C. Murphy Co. where he worked 15 years as a clerk and stockman; and Kellwood Co, where he retired in 1999 with 35 years of service. Hal loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed sports, and detailing cars.

Survivors include his wife, Suzie Dixon whom he was united in marriage with on October 1, 1959; two daughters, Diane Pabst and Debbie Carper both of Spencer; and grandchildren, Aaron Ross Carper, Thayne Alan Carper, Jessica Lynn Carper, Jason S. Pabst, Amy Sue Pabst, and Elizabeth Ann Pabst.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor John Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service.
