DUSKEY INCARCERATED FOR MALICIOUS WOUNDING - Witness Said Victim Kicked While Unconcious

Big Bend resident George Duskey, 23, has been charged with the unlawful and malicious wounding of Harley Wilson, according to Calhoun Magistrate Court records. The Court says Duskey is currently incarcerated in Central Regional Jail after engaging Wilson in the parking lot of Hilltop Inn on Route 5 near Cabot Station, early morning New Year's Day.

Trooper J. B. Hunt, who has brought charges, said Louis Haines witnessed the 1:30 a.m. incident with Duskey physically assaulting Wilson and striking him in the head with his fist. Another witness told Trooper Hunt she had witnessed Duskey attempting to start a fight with the victim several times inside the bar.

She also described the fight, Duskey striking Wilson with his fist and kicking him in the head several times while he lay unconscious in the parking lot. Wilson filed a battery complaint against Duskey on January 6, although he advised police he could not recall who assaulted him.

Trooper J. B. Hunt responded to a 911 call to Minnie Hamilton Health Care to interview the victim. Hunt said he was physically unable to give him information. The felony warrant was issued on January 16, according to the Court.

Wilson's current physical condition was not available.
