Forest Le Vere Heiney, 86 - Grantsville

Forest Le Vere Heiney, 86, of Glenville, West Virginia, passed away August 15, 2006 after a long illness at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 14, 1919, a son of the late Howard and Retta Hosey Heiney. He was a dairy farmer for 15 years, operating F.L. Heiney Dairy. Forest and Pearl ran a Quaker State Station and grocery store for 21 years. He served in the US Navy as 1st Class Petty Officer stationed on the USS Clearfield during WWII.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pearl Simmons Heiney; son Darrell Heiney of Lewisburg, WV; daughter, Dianna Heiney Smith of Spencer, WV; six sisters, Geneva Snider of Grantsville, WV, Lela Reeder, Juanita (Bobbie) Reynolds, and Grace Wilson all of Parkersburg, WV, Elenora Cirric of Aurora, Ohio, and Louise Newbrogh of Brohard, WV; brothers, Harry Heiney of Ravenna, Ohio, and Charles Heiney of Grantsville; three grandchildren, Shawn Stanley of Spencer, Dawn Hymes of Clarksburg, WV, and Kristi Smith of Morgantown, WV; four great grandchildren, Jevan and Shayla Stanley, and Tyler and Turner Le Vere Hymes.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Buddy, Denver and Donald Heiney; and a sister, Marie Masocline.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 19 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Ken Heiney will officiate. Interment will be in the Betts Cemetery, Grantsville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral Home.
