COOPER'S ANIMAL CRUELTY CASE RE-SCHEDULED

(08/10/2006)
A hearing regarding animal cruelty charges against Walnut Road resident Tom Cooper was postponed yesterday.

Calhoun magistrate Teresa Robinson said a new date is being scheduled.

Cooper has been charged with the mal-nourishment of ten horses, all of which have been removed from his farm by Sheriff Carl Ballengee.

The sheriff said their "ribs were showing and hips were sticking out."
