Twenty-year-old Daniel Johnson of Five Forks is in serious condition at Charleston Area Medical Center, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Johnson, the son of Mark and Becky Johnson, was injured late Friday night when he lost control of a four-wheeler on Nobe Road. Emergency services indicated Johnson received head injuries.

A young male passenger who was riding on the ATV was treated at the scene.

Johnson is the sister of Amanda Johnson, who tragically died in a four-wheeler accident in the Minnora community two years ago.

CAMC reports that Scott Roher, 29, is in fair condition following another four-wheeler accident yesterday morning at Russett.

Roher's ATV left State Route 7 in mid-air, went over an embankment and struck a tree, crashing on the steep hillside.

WVs ATV death toll has reached 37 with the death of a Core, Monongahela County man this week, already approaching last year's record of 40 at the end of the year.

The number of WV ATV riders who have received serious injuries or impairment is not available.
